An OT medico-legal report is a structured, independent assessment prepared by an occupational therapist. It evaluates how an individual’s injury or condition affects their daily function, home life, work, and long-term care needs — for use in legal cases.

These reports are commonly used in:

• Road traffic and workplace accidents

• Brain injury or spinal cord injury cases

• Medical negligence with functional impact

• Long-term disability or care claims

• Paediatric developmental or sensory cases

• Mental health or capacity assessments

Reports are completed by experienced Occupational Therapists on the MLG panel. All are fully qualified, registered, and experienced in functional assessment and legal reporting.

Assessments can be arranged nationwide, including in Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Limerick, or conducted via home visit or secure video consultation depending on client needs.

It includes a full analysis of functional capacity, mobility, self-care, domestic ability, return-to-work potential, care needs, and any required equipment or housing adaptations.

Standard reports are delivered within 4 weeks of instruction. Expedited services are available upon request.
